Dancing Easter Stories
ONE-DAY FUN-DAY
Join us as we dance our way through the Easter Story!!! Dancers will explore meaningful themes about love and celebration, while leaping, twirling rolling, and bouncing their way through the day! Dancers will also enjoy fun Spring-themed dance games, obstacle courses, an Easter-themed craft, lunch break, and Bible story time!
**Please pack your own nut-free lunch!

🌷RECITAL ROSES FUNDRAISER 🌷
$5 for 1

On sale April 15 - May 9th
After performing in a show, dancers often receive flowers from their supporters. It is a wonderful tradition that we carry on at Crossings’ Recital and use as a fundraiser each year.
All proceeds from the sale of roses will go to the Shirley Agate-Proust Legacy Fund. This fund helps provide financial bursaries for Crossings students.
Roses will he available for PREORDER during the weeks of April 15 – May 9. We encourage you to consider pre-ordering your roses as a way for us to ensure the correct number of roses are ordered.

Interested in auditioning for Crossings Youth Dance Company (aka. CYDC)?
Crossings Youth Dance Company is a faith-based performance group that provides an outlet for young dancers to develop their artistic skill and gain performance experience. Through mentorship of the whole dancer (body, mind, spirit) CYDC hopes to expand the dancers understanding and integration of faith and art. CYDC dancers are challenged in choreography and performance with regular opportunities to express complex themes in community and theatre settings. CYDC's ministry as a company is to be a bridge between the church and dance community, providing the church with excellent and thought-provoking dance and bringing inspiring dance into the community.
Audition Times & Divisions:
9:30 - 11:00am - Division 1 (*Current Pre-Junior 2 & Junior 1)
11:15 - 12:45pm - Division 2 (*Current Junior 2 & Inter 1)
1:00 - 2:30pm - Division 3 (*Current Inter 2 & Pre-Vocational)
2:45 - 4:15pm - Division 4 & Intersect (*Current Vocational 1-4)
*Levels are based on current 2024/25 Crossings class levels.
How to prepare for the audition:
*Registration based on current 2024/25 levels.
$20 Audition fee +gst (Paid upon registration)
A parent information meeting will be held at the start of each audition.

The CYDC experience:
Week-long August Choreographic Intensive
Weekly Saturday rehearsals (all major holidays are taken off)
Learn 3-5 new dances a season
Work with local, national or international choreographers
Full scale theatre production (March 2025)
Perform repertoire around Calgary in churches, schools and community events
Weekly devotional time related to the annual theme
Mentorship, Discipleship and Community
Group bonding
Travel opportunities
